What are player props?

A player prop is a line on one player's individual stats instead of the game result. Examples: a quarterback's passing yards, a running back's rushing yards, or a hockey player's shots on goal or points.

How a prop line works

If a quarterback's passing yards line is 245.5, the "Over" means 246 or more yards and the "Under" means 245 or fewer. The .5 makes a tie impossible.

What moves a prop?

Injuries, the matchup, weather, expected playing time, and where the money goes. A prop that opens at 245.5 and moves to 255.5 tells you the market expects more yards.

How GregCity shows props

Each prop on our boards lists the player, the stat, the open and current line, and a plain-English note on what the numbers show, such as recent game logs. After the game, the results tracker shows whether the prop landed Over or Under. Data only, never betting advice.
